Ottawa, ON, September 24, 2025 – Accreditation is now open for Canadian Waterpower Week 2025, where experts, industry decision-makers, innovators, and policymakers will converge in the nation’s capital to chart a path forward under the theme “Powering Canada, Empowering the Future.”
Who:
WaterPower Canada, the national voice of the hydropower industry, invites members of the media to attend the 2025 Canadian Waterpower Week, the only national annual event dedicated to Canada’s waterpower sector. Attendees will include senior executives from generation, transmission, energy storage and environmental firms; regulators and policymakers; and technology innovators and supply chain leaders.

This year’s conference will explore how hydropower can deliver energy security, support economic strength, and foster national unity in a changing climate landscape. Key features of the program include:
- Opening Plenary “Charging Ahead? A Canadian Power Pulse Check”, hosted by David Cochrane of CBC’s “Power & Politics”, taking stock of what’s moved since recent federal election promises around infrastructure, approval processes and climate commitments.
